UniMail Privacy Policy

UniMail is a browser extension that helps users read, scan, and reply to email from supported mailbox providers inside the browser.

Data UniMail Accesses

With user authorization, UniMail accesses mailbox data needed to show email lists, message details, unread state, and reply or send actions. This may include account identifiers, sender and recipient addresses, subjects, message previews, message bodies, timestamps, labels, and OAuth tokens required to connect to the selected provider.

How Data Is Used

UniMail uses mailbox data only to provide the extension's inbox, reading, sending, replying, and mailbox-management features. UniMail does not use mailbox data for advertising, profiling, analytics resale, or unrelated purposes.

Storage and Transmission

UniMail stores account state and tokens in the browser's local extension storage. Phase 1a of UniMail does not upload mailbox content or tokens to a UniMail server. Data is transmitted only between the browser extension and the mailbox provider APIs that the user authorizes.

Third Parties

UniMail connects directly to supported mailbox provider APIs, including Google Gmail and Zoho Mail, when the user chooses to authorize those accounts. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies and account terms.

User Control

Users can remove connected accounts from UniMail settings. Removing an account clears the locally stored account state and token data for that account. Users may also revoke UniMail access from the relevant mailbox provider account settings.

Data Sale

UniMail does not sell user data and does not share mailbox content with data brokers or advertising networks.

Contact
